Do You Qualify for Laser Therapy?
Laser Therapy is very relaxing, completely safe and highly effective. Most people qualify to have Laser Therapy.
However, if you have certain medical conditions or take specific medications, you can have an adverse reaction.
Below is a list of questions that you will be asked by our staff prior to booking an appointment.
If you are not certain about the answer to any of the questions, please read and follow the steps in the next section.
Questions to screen you for having Laser Therapy:
-
Are you taking any medication that contains Aspirin (ASA), including baby aspirin or cold remedies?
-
Are you taking any blood thinners?
-
Are you taking any highly photosensitive or light sensitive medication and have been told by your doctor or pharmacist to avoid the direct sun or tanning beds? Certain antibiotics, water pills, anti-inflammatory medication, sleeping pills, acne or psychiatric medications or chemotherapy can be highly photosensitive.
-
If you have a pacemaker or defibrillator, your doctor will need to fax written permission to our staff, who will arrange for you to have Laser Therapy treatment conducted at a pacemaker clinic.
-
If you have had cancer within the past five years, your doctor will need to fax written permission to our Staff.
-
If you are pregnant (or think you may be pregnant) you cannot have Laser Therapy.
If you are not certain about the answer to any of these questions, you must take the following steps:
First:
Phone our staff who will arrange to fax information and a short questionnaire to your doctor.
Second :
Make an appointment to see your doctor, who will help you decide if you qualify for having Laser Therapy.
