Laser Therapy Career Success Stories

I had a wonderful experience with Laser Centers for Health.  Doing the hands on training in the office with Sheila was very exciting.  I was a little worried about being able to find the points, but Sheila made it easy.  She is full of Knowledge and experience.  I can’t imagine try to learn about the laser and treatments by myself.  Having someone there to show you and explain how to operate the equipment, locate the points, and to answer any question that might come up was very helpful.  The staff at the clinic was friendly , I look forward to returning and learning more treatments I can offer to my clients.

The business of smoking cessation using a laser technology requires precision, an understanding of addiction and human motivation. The theory of all that can be taught by reading, the precision of the laser placement cannot.   Neither can you learn online the feel, the treatment flow and the passion that a truly concerned Laser Therapist brings to her Client. Sometimes, to learn, you need to be side by side with a professional, watch her, feel the progression of the treatment for yourself. This is what made my training with her particularly effective: her accuracy, the passion, her delivery. For me, nothing replaces watching a professional at work, being able to ask questions in real time, having someone correct me in real time. This is a business of real interaction between people present to and for each other. Face to face is the learning experience for me.

Have you ever done online training vs. personal instructional training with a knowledgeable instructor? Well, I have done online training, which I must say can be quite frustrating, especially when some aspect of the theory does not seem to be straightforward. There always seems to be questions which must be written down, then typed and sent via email, or even if you can pick up a phone and talk to a person on the other end, you still don't have the visual cues that can be so important in gaining a better understanding of the theory that one day you intend to put into practice.

Well, those problems can be solved via traditional instructor/pupil classroom training. This is exactly what Sheila Baxter R.N. of Laser Centers for Health does. Sheila has an excess of 20 years of clinical experience. That experience, coupled with her vast knowledge of health care and laser, is exactly what each student of laser therapy needs.

In my experience with Sheila, I found that the theory I had learned on my own quickly became focused on the application to the patient. I now was able to see demonstrated correct procedures and protocols, and most importantly technique that has proven so successful for so many patients.

Not only were these demonstrated to me, I was given the opportunity to actually practice the techniques and protocols on Sheila and her staff. Being given the opportunity to do this allowed constructive corrective instruction by Sheila, for me, which has made me a better technician.

The other major advantage of this instructional method is that questions can be addressed as they arise. This is critical in the overall and complete understanding for the student. In online training, when questions arise, it is often two or more days later before these questions are addressed and often the context has been lost and therefore the understanding is not as good.

I have been fortunate enough to have been professionally trained as a teacher. Having achieved both a Bachelors and Masters degree in the field of professional education, I can attest to the fact that Sheila uses various professional instructional strategies to best help her students learn and apply the concepts.

I am grateful for the opportunity I had to train with Sheila and take advantage of her incredible knowledge and clinical expertise. I know the training I have done with Sheila has made me a more knowledgeable and expert practitioner. I now enjoy great success in the treatment protocols I perform on my patients.

Thank you Sheila.

I got involved in this business after I had a weight loss treatment by Sheila Baxter. I first took training for the Weight Program, and then in November of 2005, I took the Smoking Cessation Program training.

I am currently working three days a week at my previous full time job. I work 2 days a week doing the laser treatments and some evenings during the week. I am also a Massage Therapist. I am hoping that within the next year I will be able to be full time doing the laser. I am a single mom, so mine is the only income.

Sheila has been very supportive of my business and has always answered any questions I have. She is very professional in her approach to training, and she makes learning very easy and rewarding. I am pleased to be able to call Sheila one of my friends, as our relationship is one of both business and friendship.

To update my previous testimonial, I have now been doing my business since 2005 and I have been able to go full time in 2008. Sheila has remained to be a great source of knowledge and encouragement for me all these years. She has tremendous passion for both the training she does and also dealing with her clients she does treatments for.
